We have made the decision that the 2023 Licking Valley Century, scheduled for Saturday, June 27th will not be held due to public health mandates.
This was a very difficult decision for us being that it would have been our inaugural event and it would have been a great opportunity for the Cincinnati Cycle Club to celebrate our 140th anniversary. We are also sad that we will not be able to support our partner charity, The Henry Hosea House in their efforts to help deliver meals to the needy in our area. If you would still like to make a donation to them, I’m sure it would be greatly appreciated, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic which has hit many of our greater Cincinnati families so very hard. I am sad that we will not be able to host our event for 2023. We waited as long as possible to make this announcement in hopes that Covid-19 public gathering restrictions would have eased off in time for our event. Clearly, as per the governor of Kentucky, this will not happen. By cancelling now, we will be able to keep our 2023 LVC expenses to a minimum. This will help in our planning and up front costs for the 2021 Licking Valley Century. Our tentative date for the next year’s LVC is June 26th 2021.
I would like to thank all those who registered for your support for our event and I hope that you will come back next year and register again for the 2021 LVC which we very much look forward to hosting. I also want to thank all those who volunteered to help and also our sponsors for all of your generous support. I urge all of you to come back and support us again next year.
We will automatically refund all accounts on May 15th.
If you would like to roll your registration forward to the Licking Valley Century on June 26, 2021, please email president@cincinnaticycleclub.org before May 15th and we will roll your entry forward to 2021
